The Heir Billionaire Royals Book 1 edition by Sophia Summers Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I choose this title because of the special connection between the Heir and His love that each had for one another. And a American butterfly full of love for country, and people of all types. Smooth reading book. The ending of the story will not disappoint you!
Very enjoyable first book in this series. Jo and Nico immediately connected and it was obvious they belonged together. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Devotion to family and friends defined Jo Finley's life. Nick was just a friend for the summer until he wasn't. Jo comes face-to-face with the fact of her father's dementia and it saddens her. Is Kevin really the man she thinks he is? Is there a future for Jo and Nick? Good read.
This is the first book I've read from this author and didn't want it to end. Loved the characters, conflicts and chemistry. Jo and Nico's story was great to read. Will recommend to friends.
This was a painful read.
The leads have no depth whatsoever and the h is particularly bothersome. She has a boyfriend through almost 2/3 of the book but she's having movie night with this man she just met and all snuggled up to him.
The blurb about this novella is VERY misleading, in my opinion.
Kevin or Keith or whatever the h's boyfriend's name was did not seem controlling. Overbearing? Absolutely. Obnoxious? You bet. Self-centered? In spades. But nothing in Jo's character hinted at someone being controlled. Controlled women don't invite new guys to snuggle with them in storms while their boyfriend is not with them.
Saving the Marina? Well, there's a spoiler in saying exactly why that's a farce but really it's a farce.
On to Nick or Nico....there is supposed to be some scandal with him but it's so vague that it's almost a joke.
Jo is said to "ground" Nico but honestly I can't see how or why.
This book doesn't exactly end on a cliffhanger and it does have an HEA but their story continues in book 2.
I have no desire to read it or sink any money into this series, though. I just don't care enough about the characters to find out what happens to them.
A few things I did like the setting was described well and it made me want to visit this place. I also liked the side characters of Julian and Sierra.
This was a charming, quick read with interesting main characters; although I didn't get pulled that deep into it. More like a summer read. There are some challenges in it of course but they do get worked out for now. The follow up book about Jo and Nick and their adventures is in the next book, " The Crown".
Jo is a steady, loving woman who is also hardworking. So hardworking that she has almost lost the fun loving side of her personality. Her boyfriend Kevin isn't much help in that area either. He is so hardworking that he is kind of driven and he pretty much stomps out that part of Jo's personality. Whether consciously or not, that is his affect; he's a snooze. Being responsible is one thing but Jo quickly begins to wonder whether she really love him or not. I say, dump the bum, there's no sizzle there.
Nick has a bit of the opposite problem of being way too much into fun that it gets him into trouble. He doesn't chuck all of his responsibilities but he's been followed around by the paparazzi and they have snapped some uncomfortable pictures that have him now trying to lay low. His friend and assistant Julian has his back and adds to the story. Julian also has a romance brewing with Jo's best friend Sierra which is something we just get a peek into. I wonder if they will get their own story?
My final words on this book is that it was sweet, clean and probably would be well suited to a younger audience.
This was a sweet romance with a lot of, sadly, true to life situations that many people face today. The author did a good job bringing some illnesses to the forefront and treating them with an honor and dignity. That says a lot about her in my personal opinion. I enjoyed the characters immensely, especially as they were being introduced in the beginning chapters. Prince Nico came from what is considered a very large family in this day. Having 5 boys, I got a chuckle thinking about dealing with six boys at their relatively close ages, {which I assumed after reading the book and calculating}. A very sweet and clean romance that I would recommend - especially if you love awesome fairy tales! I am anxious to continue reading the next book.
