This is one of those stories that will be hard to let go after you finished. Our h endures so much, that at times I would either take a break from reading, because I just couldn't take much more. OR I would jump ahead 50 pages to make sure the people I loved would still be around.

My Oh My, yes this isn't one of those feel good novels that warms your heart. But, it is a story that will capture you from the start until the end. It is about love and survival. It's has nasty people who are close to you and say they have the clans interest at heart, and don't care how that end is achieved. People who see something and want it at whatever cost to those stands in their way.

I've some of the reviews about the h's little girl and the way she talked. I happened to enjoy it and it added a much needed lightness to the story. That is how some small children talk, they have trouble saying certain letters. She brought a smile to my face and the love of her mom and those around her brought joy reading it.

There is VERY mild lovemaking within marriage at about 84%. I loved how the h/H romance grew. There are very interesting secondary character's as well.

The ending was perfect in my mind how she discovers her mother's family.

I enjoyed both book 1 and this one, and I am off to reading the third one of the series, but they are stand alone too. No cheating, No cliffhanger and a very very bumpy road to HEA, but we do reach it and it isn't boring that is for sure!! (ljb)

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end but mostly the end. I love e the way you tied up every loose end. Little Kristen had me laughing and crying. What a precious character for the book. It is hard forme to do a review because I have a hard time not giving out spoilers so I will just say it is a must read and I can't wait to get into the next book in the series.
Grace & Bryan WOW!!! Loved this heart felt story. I read it in 2 days because it drew me in to finish it. Very well written and very good storyline Ceci. Your stories are always so awesome. I have read other books by her and will continue to do so as they are captivating!! You will never be sorry reading one of her books.
Already a fan of Ceci, I looked forward to this release. It is everything I had hoped for. Action, suspense, humor, and of course - love. Well written and well developed characters . A "couldn't put it down " kind of book that grabs your attention and keeps it ! With a very satisfying ending that had me repeating my new mantra..What matters most ? Kindness. What never helps? Panicking. I highly recommend this book, as well as all Ms Giltenan's wonderful books.

A family torn apart by the ambitions and cruel dictates of one generation and mended by the love of another takes it audience on a reading experience full of secrets, powerful emotions and underhanded doings. The strong connection between the hero and heroine solidify this novel into one of deep affection and atonement for past sins. Ms. Giltenan's latest work was an engaging story that will be sure to capture your heart!

It starts with Tristan and Cat. They leave a legacy in their daughter Grace. Give her strength and skills that serve her well. I had tears in my eyes when she read the letter to Innes and even more moments later in the story. Bram is his own man but I would loved to have planted his Da a facer a few times. And Ranulf plays his part superbly!!
The book stands alone and I can't wait to see who she writes about next but I hope it's soon!! Love her style!! And I hope someday Kristen gets a book. But not too soon. So many intriguing possibilities in this generation.
FANTASTIC STORY by Ceci Giltenan!! The characters come right out of the pages as you read. You can't put the book down. The story is so very well told. It has so many facets of life in, you cry, you laugh, you are routing for the good guys!! and wanting someone to smack the bad guys upside the head!!. At the end you're really on the edge of your seat. You can't read fast enough to find out just what is going to happen. "What matters most? Kindness matters most!" and "What never to helps? Panicking never helps !!!! Can't wait to read "Michaels" story!!!!

I will begin by saying I love Ceci Giltenan’s books. Her Duncurra series was fantastic and this new Faded Heart series promises to be just as captivating.
Ceci is one of those authors who earned a special and permanent place on my keeper auto buy shelf.

This book as joined her other page turners. Highland Echoes, a fast paced adventure grabs attention from the beginning and when the reader reaches the end, you just want to start it all over again. Passionate romance with love, mystery, forgiveness, etc. fills the book from cover to cover. This is one you will carry with you from place to place until you finish it.

The heroine, Grace Breive is a strong independent lady. She is driven from the only home she has known, so she takes her daughter and decides to find a grandmother she didn’t know she had.

The hero, Bram Sutherland, as the laird’s heir, has responsibilities towards the clan to marry a lady who will help benefit the clan. He is surprised by the new comers and is definitely attracted to the lady. He takes them under his protection and has to make decisions whether to follow his own yearnings, even if she isn’t from his own level of class, or go unfulfilled for the rest of his life by marrying another.

I highly recommend this book and author to anyone who reads and enjoys reading romance. Ceci is on my auto buy list, and I look forward to each new release. Prior books by this very talented author, of which has a place on my keeper shelf, include Highland Solution, Highland Courage, Highland Intrigue, and Highland Revenge.
