I'm a huge reader, but I've truly never been very into poetry. It's something I always wished I could change, but alas, I just don't love it. After downloading this sample, I had to have the entire book. I'm one year out of college and am a certified Middle School Teacher. I'm currently teaching high schoolers, and I think this should be required reading for all middle and high school teachers. The poems characterize challenges that adolescents face BEAUTIFULLY. You're transported back to times in your life you've blocked out or have forgotten because as you've grown, you've rewritten feelings into learning moments. These poems make you feel them again. I highly, highly recommend these poems for teachers, parents, and adolescents themselves.

This book is an excellent read. Recommended for anyone who like Ellen Hopkins type books.
I love this. I looove the poetry and I absolutely love all the characters. This is so complex and lovely. So much so that it makes you stop and think about life and your relationships
It was mind-blowingly good, I had to lean back and think about every chapter to gather my thoughts and feelings before I could go on to the next one. I'm 15 years old and in a way, I could relate to some of these teenagers' stories. And even though that was weird and a little bit scary I found it very interesting and I think I will be reading it many more times to relate and see what they did in those situations. I'm looking forward to reading more of David Levithan.

Compilation of poems/short stories. Not my cup of tea, I love David Levithan and ordered this without much thought m, assuming it'd be like his other novels... Not a fan at all.
How is David Levithan this good?! I am mystified. I adore this man. There have only been two human beings that I designated with the title of Perfect Human Beings -John and Hank Green- but with this latest work of art, David has moved up to demigod in my esteem. These poems are powerful and I found my whole life within them. Superb writing. Wonderful.
"The comfort of knowing"

The truth is, as interpreted in the poetic musings and documentations in David Levithan's verse novel, The Realm Of Possibility, the experience of comfort can never be actualized, but will be eternally desired and driven by the agonizing discomfort of the unknown; for there will always be discomfort in the infinite mass of the unknown as well as an ever-changing world determined never to be understood.

As despairing as that may sound, there is consolation in these revelations. Where Mr. Levithan truly shines is in how he beautifully articulates the uniform search within young people for a defining sense of self, identity and purpose. Yet, what is revealed through this collection of twenty disparate voices is not how small and insignificant each and every life is, but how far our very presence, just by our mere existence, will reach and inevitably deliver impact on others. Through the poetry, journal entries, songs and haiku of twenty individuals with several unifying themes, topics and emotions, the author discloses to the reader that even as we feel like we are completely alone and that no one notices, our words, our images, our actions and even inactions are endlessly consumed by those around us and will imminently have penetrating impact on the lives of others.

David Levithan has wholly captivated me emotionally, intellectually and creatively in this genre-bending novel that is, all at once, beautifully lyrical, stunningly engrossing, devastatingly haunting, eternally poignant and deeply resonate.
